Nina Proudman - Steal her style

If you cast your mind back to here a few weeks ago when we were talking pressed metal panels and their many uses - inspired by Sophie & Dale - you might also remember my confession that Offspring is yet another of my favourite places to visit in TV land. Soooo, you can imagine my oohs and ahhs when I came across Wee Birdy's post yesterday Get the look of Nina's apartment from Offspring! Rebecca (aka Wee Birdy) has absolutely nailed this one. Even down to the candles... Pictures below, but you have to hop over here for the lowdown of where to actually get it (because as much as I wish I'd thought of it myself, I didn't - WB did...)

AND.... if Nina's interior style isn't enough to satisfy, you can hop over to Styling You for Nikki's tips on her wardrobe as well! Seriously impressive - you can pick up a virtual shopping list of the outfits worn by Nina each episode with links to the stores... Which brings me to a question - if Nina's boots (that I have coveted all season) happened to be available, in my size, half price, with free shipping - AND the style was even called Tina (seriously) - wouldn't you say I needed to buy them? It's a sign right?

Must have it now...

Absolutely loving online store Everything Begins at the moment.... Particularly smitten with this stunning rose gold and gun metal cuff that 281 clams will buy you. It comes in a matching necklace too, though I'm a little scared of the price of that one...

A delicious new online store

I've been busting to tell you about this! And finally now I can! Meet the newest and most delightful online store Down That Little Lane (even the name is delightful).

Tessa the incredible is the store's owner and curator and my oh my she's one talented lady with some fine taste - let me tell you! This store is like no other - Tessa has put together a stunning collection of designers with the most beautiful wares - you're guaranteed to find many things to throw your paypal deets at!
It's a beautifully designed site that ticks all the boxes - easy navigation, clear and simple information and of course, the prettiest things to buy! DTLL carries an array of goodies in every category imaginable, from cakes to cushions, and gadgets to gold... You'll even find Noosh on there! We're thrilled to be part of the launch collection and can't wait to see DTLL grow and quickly become a favourite shopping destination... Just in time for Christmas too - how good's that!?

Saturday Site Crush

Best gift store ever! With kooky finds like this one - No On The High Street is somewhere near the top of my go to list for christmas shopping... I've already got someone in mind for this little gem. I think they'll be very happy together, and I think they know who they are too....

The wonker-style bookstore

Have you ever seen anything like it? This is Kid's Republic, a bookstore in Beijing. Yes, it was specially created for kids, and wow! How incredible! "mummy, can we go to the bookstore" must be the most popular phrase in the chinese children's vocabulary!
Fully equipped with giant screens and a rainbow palette it's a feast for the young senses and is the product of a new trend in China toward picture book storytelling for children. Apparently, in an effort to adopt all things American, the Chinese have (finally) adopted the idea that a story for a child might be more inviting with bright images... Makes you a little bit more grateful for the small things doesn't it?

Noosh: Now available at Lilly & Lolly store in Sydney!

From today, Sydneysiders can get a shopping fix of their favourite kids decor brands together in one concept store! That's right! Lilly & Lolly have officially opened their doors at the deliciously designer PYD Building in Waterloo - and let me tell you - it's just divine. L&L's Ashling and Megan have outdone themselves - the store looks incredible.  But the most exciting part for us Nooshies is that L&L called us to ask if they could stock Noosh! Take a look!
...and more Noosh Gigi Alphabet

Found: More yummy kids fashion

Even though we've only just gotten through a heatwave here in Sydney, this rainy weekend already has me thinking of winter. Here's little fashion find I stumbled across which is too divine for words. Check out Mabo Kids here... I'd quite like one of these charcoal grey wrap pinafores for myself.

Newsflash/Update: Funky threads for boys...

I've just heard that Katie and her About A Boy store (check it out here if you missed it) were badly affected by the QLD floods. I'm sure she could use the support if you're thinking of visiting her store or buying some funky additions to your wee ones wardrobe...

FOUND! Funky threads for the boys!

If you've got boys you will no doubt have spent many frustrated moments in the aisles of kids fashions stores faced with shed loads of gorgeous clothes... for girls. It kills me every time I'm confronted with yet another adorable little cardigan with a short puff sleeve, or a fabulous denim mini with contrasting stitch detail on the pockets... Yet, when I finally make my way past the aisles and aisles of incredible designs for girls, searching for a rack not weighed down with pink fabric, what do I find? One rack, maybe two, of cargo shorts and co-ordinating button down shirt sets bearing applique "motifs" of teddy bears driving trains. It drives me to drink!

Well, I've finally found an online store run by a mum, Katie, who felt the same frustration. Mother to 2 boys (lucky girl, I know how that can be...) Katie decided the only solution to the problem was to create a store just like the one all mothers of boys wish existed. And so, About a Boy was born. With a small range of girls clothes and a very pleasing super huge range of delights for boys, all of the designs Katie stocks she handpicks herself and they are really nice! And they're reasonably priced too! Especially at the moment - check out the huge summer clearance sale! Go on! Go! There isn't a teddy bear driving a train in sight!

Little Chillies heat up

If you haven't already discovered Little Chillies, here's a taste of what you've been missing...
Really cute don't you think? (I wish there was a brand that made dresses with matching fabric shoes for grown ups.) Up until now, their range has only produced designs up to size 2, but the great news is that like so many Australian online businesses, the Chillies are growing! They've enlisted a pattern maker and new fabric suppliers and will be wholesaling their new designs (that will now extend up to size 4) from February. So keep an eye out for Little Chillies at your favourite spots both online and instore, but in the meantime, head over to their site (here) where you can still buy their designs direct. (and you'll be able to say, "Little Chillies? I knew them back when...")...

Shop lust: Pip Studio - Amsterdam

I have just stumbled upon the most divine website. No truly. You NEED to see this. Even the site design is gorgeous... It's called PIP Studio and let's just say, Pip has great taste. She is the creative brains behind all of the Studio designs, which range from wallpaper to handbags and teacups to towels. Here's a small serving of the range...
Aren't they stunning? They make me want to invite all my girlfriends around for a tea party!
Pearl and lace wallpaper. (If I only had a girl!) Check out the detail below...

Have you ever lusted for a bath towel? I hadn't... till now.

And there's loads more where this came from. Get thyself to the store and see for yourself. All prices are in Euros which works out quite well for us at the moment and shipping is reasonable if you buy a couple of things... Hmmm, but how to decide which couple of things?
