Right now...

I'm loving ruffles. Here's 5 reasons why...

Hmmm, a cushion that was beautiful before, but now... and so easy!

Brazillian brilliance

The brand that brought back the thong, now has a new shoe for us to fall in love with. Meet Havaiana's new baby brother, the hightop. If what they did for thongs is anything to go by, these hightops will be super-comfy, affordable and they'll just about walk off the shelves... (sorry I had to get that pun in there..) Love the miniature thong detail too...
Then there's the "ballerina", which apparently boasts the same sole material as the Havaiana thongs (so, feels like walking on a sponge - in a good way)...

And the sneaker... Hmmm, just in time for Autumn... How thoughtful.

Covet her closet

Have you ever wondered what the wardrobes of film directors, fashion stylists, jewellery designers and screenwriters contained? We often get to see celebs styled up at red carpet events, but I'm talking about a real grass roots level, honest to goodness prowl through the cupboards and drawers.... Take a look.

Kathryn Bently, Jewellry Designer

Melissa Coker, Screenwriter.

Stella Berkofsky, Model, Photographer

And that's just for starters. Check it out at Closet Visit
There's loads of wardrobes to peek at and loads more style ideas to be pilfered.

Country Road Winter 2011

Oh I am loving Country Roads Winter Collection for the kiddie-winks!
Prices start at around $40.
Here's my favourite 4 looks for the boys...

And my top 3 picks of their individual pieces...

And my favourite looks for the girls...

And I do wish they were doing these 3 pieces for us grown ups...

And just because it can't always be all about the offspring, aren't these boots delicious?
They just leapt to #1 on my winter wishlist...

Frilly Fillies

As politically incorrect as it probably is in 2011 to call a girl a filly, it rhymed so well I just had to... But enough about that! Take a look at this gorgeous range of dresses from Fabrik. Founded by Sydney-sider, Sarah Hardie, whose creative work history drops names like ArtPark and Lee Matthews, Fabrik captures prettiness with a nostalgic edge perfectly. If I had a girl she'd definitely be parading around in some of these. I particularly love this first one in charcoal grey with the textured ruffled hem... Best part about Fabrik is that right now a lot of the range is on sale and pieces start from a mere $20! But even without a sale, Sarah's designs are pleasingly affordable and we love that!

Found: My favourite shop in the world expands

oh. my. Anthropologie has just launched a new store. BHLDN. While it is mostly bridal, it's bridal like you've only dreamt of. With a gorgeous dose of to-die-for lingerie, shoes, jewellery, party dresses... it's off the scale yum. I think I'd like to get married again just so I can wear this dress...
...with these shoes...
And I'd need these as well...

Found: More yummy kids fashion

Even though we've only just gotten through a heatwave here in Sydney, this rainy weekend already has me thinking of winter. Here's little fashion find I stumbled across which is too divine for words. Check out Mabo Kids here... I'd quite like one of these charcoal grey wrap pinafores for myself.

Le stripe

My new favourite destination for inspiration is Pinterest. If you haven't been there yet, you gotta go! Like - now. Pinterest is a social network (don''t groan) and pinboard for ideas rolled into one. The best part about it is that it's still relatively new and most of the content is fantastic. The other best bit is that you can see what everyone else has on their pinboards and you can "repin" things you like... I'm probably not selling it very well but I love it. Anyway, while I was wasting my afternoon away on there today, le stripe was everywhere so today's post is dedicated to le stripe... Pointy stripes, stripes on walls, rug stripes, wavy stripes, stripes and spots, stairway stripes, frilly stripes, t-shirt stripes.... you get the picture. My personal faves are the two staircases. Maybe that's just because I'm in decorating mode.
