12 teen boy rooms for inspiration

Pottery Barn in the states really do amazing room setups for their shoots.
Here are 12 of their cool room ideas for the boys...

1 classic palette with the lot

This room has it all. Size-wise it's literally vast, and the planning and finishes are fantastic.
Take a look around...

Green with envy

How's this for a slick teen space? I wouldn't mind this room for myself! Everything here is super-cool, from the Elvis blinds and castored ottomans to the high gloss green two-pack panel over the study area... Love.

The perfect teenagers retreat

While I don't have any teenagers myself just yet (cue sigh of relief), I do remember a thing or two about what I wanted when I was one, and this space is pretty much it. The late 60's design Eero Aarnio Bubble Chairs are the centrepiece of the rooms which are divided by a sliding door system that can be slung wide open for social moments and closed up for private study. Genius.
Walk-in robes keep untidiness well hidden, and the loft area creates an additional level of privacy for temperamental teens. Even the grumpiest teenager would have to admit that this is one pretty amazing design...

Citrus bedroom blast

Yellow and orange are hot right now - and while the weather cools down, warm colour palettes are a great solution for decorating quandries. This first one with the bold and striking yellow feature cabinetry is my favourite - and that chocolate rug negates any fears of the space looking cold adding a dash of cosy comfort and a spot to kick back and spread out...

Blue isn't just for boys

Welcome to the second installment of teenspace ideas. This time the focus is on blue. As a mum to two boys, blue is heavily front row and centre on the radar, but it doesn't have to be that way. Blue can work just as well in a girls space - it's all in the way you apply it. Anyway, even if blue isn't your thing, there are some great ideas here worth stealing or putting on the back burner for later when wee ones get older.
