Kids wallpapers like you dream of....

Imagine if you could buy wallpaper as a custom mural for a feature wall with an all-over pattern to match for the other walls.... Well imagine no more, Tres Tintas in Barcelona can do just that!

This Carousel design is my personal favourite but there are loads more to choose from including Lost Planets and TeePees... And in case you're wondering, they're really reasonably priced!

5 cool wallpapers for boys bedrooms

A while back I confessed to you that I'm a hopeless decorexic. Well, it seems to still be the case - otherwise why would I be looking at boys wallpapers when I only just finished the boys bedroom!? If I thought I had any chance of persuading Mr Noosh that it was a good idea, I think I'd go for the planes...

Babes in the blue forest

Always fond of a mural as I am, this blue forest feature wall really tickles my fancy. Particularly loving the waving squirrel... Hello!

Mural-fest!

Nothing is more boring in a kidspace than a bare, plain wall.
So, here's a bevvy of good ideas to adorn the walls.
Get the kiddos involved and let them choose the theme - maybe even let them help create it!

Red vintage retro with a glorious window seat

This room belongs to a little guy name Atticus. And what a lucky little guy he is!!!
Loving the refinished vintage bed in fire engine red, the A on the wall, The retro bedside table, the striped feature wall. Hop over to Samantha Pynn Interiors to see more inspirational rooms.

Mmmmm... Nice lamp!

One more feature wall idea...

This one comes further to my post fro the other day about feature wall ideas. It's actually a boys bedroom space I showed you a while back (see the original post here)
This oversized child-like mural of the "rawr"-ing dinosaur is exactly that! It's an actual drawing created by the hand of the little guy who inhabits this bedroom! His genius mum traced it onto plastic film and used an old-school overhead projector to enlarge the image and trace it up onto the wall. Clever clogs mum! I imagine the little guy was pretty pleased with himself when it was done! And it's a super easy project too! Do you think it'd help in getting them to go to bed on time if they had a feature wall with their very own artwork on it like this?

2 x stunning contemporary kids feature wall ideas...

One mums solution to the "How can we jazz up those stark white walls?" question came in the form of a myriad of coloured felt circles glued to the wall. They've been arranged as a cascade of rainbow colourful balls bouncing down the wall. This idea is pure genius in its simplicity.

Equally simple. Equally clever. Giant animal shapes cut from vintage wallpaper roam the walls of this play space, creating delight for the senses of the kidlets who get to play here. Think of the incredible imaginary games and stories that would be created in a space like this!

Madness or genius?

I love the space beyond the arch in this shot - but that's not why I wanted to show it to you... I had this bizarre thought that this might actually be a genius solution for what to do with a structural arch. Yes, I may have gone completely mad - but I may just be onto something too... What do you think? Madness? Or genius?

One dark wall...

Oh how I love a dark feature wall!

Also love the lab in this one... and my how clever is that bedhead?

Make it big

I was over at Oh Dee Doh today and stumbled across a post about the 5 indulgences for small kids rooms . One of them has stuck with me all day. Big art. Do you remember what was on your walls when you were a kid? Apart from the pink floral wallpaper my mum chose, I don't really. So why not steer away from lots of little nice bits and pieces and give them one really big memorable piece? Take a look at these for inspiration...

Bird love...

I wouldn't mind this one in my own room - loving that grey!

The clouds are just cut outs of fabric dipped in a cornstarch mixture to stick them to the wall.

This one is done with washi tape would you believe? Now that's creative...

Removable Wallpaper!

Okay, not only is this just pure genius, it's an Australian product! Double love! Truly, wallpaper that comes off! No steamer or glue or work! It comes from The Wall Sticker Company and there are loads of designs to choose from to suit spaces for kids and adult styles, and, if you still can't see one you like, they'll even do you a custom design! Fantastic news for frustrated decorexics who can't unleash their hearts desire on their home... Check it out!

The world for your bedroom wall

Using a world map as a feature wall in a kids space is such a huge trend at the moment - and why not? It's striking, sophisticated and educational! If it had been the thing to do when I was a youngster I might have done better in geography! Here's some great examples of how well it can work.
